JANISSARY AHMET AGA MANSION
“Düğmeli Evler”, local architectural style mainly applied in Akseki and İbradi of Antalya are masonry structures constructed completely with stone and wood without any material as mortar or cement. Taurus cedar (Turpentine Tree and Arceuthos Drupacea) was used in these structures. Although, stone wall seems to be the main bearer, structure is born by its wooden frame. As, ends of the beams exceeding the walls seem like buttons (Pişduvan), these houses are called “Düğmeli Ev” (Buttoned House).
Yeniçeri Ahmet Ağa Konağı (Janissary Ahmet Aga Mansion) in Ormana (Erymna Ancient City) of İbrada is a 2-storey Buttoned House of local architecture. Although, the exact construction date is not known, it is seen as 1898 based on accessed records. One of the first owners of the mansion is a descendant of Keleşoğlu, Genç Osman (Young Osman). The mansion is named as “Yeniçeri Ahmet Ağa Konağı” dedicated to the memory of Ahmet Aga, the 7th Generation ancestor of Keleşoğulları, the last Captain of the 56th Janissary Battalion.

There are showers and WCs in 6 rooms of the mansion serving with 11 rooms. 4 upstairs rooms are allocated as museum and there is a shower and washbasin in a cabinet in accordance with the original concept and 2 WCs outside the rooms are shared spaces.
The structure restored in accordance with the first original form, is waiting for you, its guests to experience live virtually in a museum. Get ready for the historical journey the region and the mansion will take you through the local breakfast, fresh air and original atmosphere and effects of their period. Our museum-concept hotel, rare in Turkey and the world, is managed by the 8th generation experienced representatives of our Family in Tourism business and Pera Center Hotel they own.
