Story of Button Houses
Button houses are a traditional architectural style commonly found in villages of the Taurus Mountains in the Mediterranean Region. The most distinctive feature of these houses is the wooden beams connected to each other using a special technique called "button".
Yeniçeri Ahmet Ağa Mansion is one of the finest examples of this traditional architecture. Built in 1898, the mansion has preserved all the characteristics of its era. The original furnishings in the mansion showcase the lifestyle of the period.
Built by Janissary Ahmet Ağa during the late Ottoman Empire period, this mansion was the living space of one of the region's most important families. Today, it serves as a museum hotel, offering guests a historic experience.
